Manchester

(1) I did not spend much time in Manchester: just a short walk around town before I took my flight back to Hamburg.

(2) I found this museum in a park. There was no entry fee and the exhibition mainly showed various historic costumes.

(3) This building belongs to the university of Manchester, I think.

(4) My hotel room was not very modern - the TV program was not that good, but I went to see Blair Witch Project in a local cinema at 11 o'clock

(5) Pop-Art - most stores were closed because it was Sunday.
My impression
Manchester was my shortest trip (two days) to a foreign country. My travel destination was not Manchester though: I took the train to Stafford because of a vintage computer fair. This fair had great support of the British Atari community. A few months earlier I had promised Joe Connor (mastermind of the "Atari Computing" magazine) that I would visit the UK fair. However, he didn't expect that I would keep my promise ("This crazy German!" he exclaimed). On that day, the English were playing against the Scots and some Atari people had their soccer t-shirt well hidden ;-). By the way, I predicted the final score of that soccer game - damn I should've bet a few Pounds on it!
