Pizza Virtuale
During the Documenta (an international art fair in Kassel), the Swiss/Austrian/German tv station 3sat broadcasted a special program. VanGogh TV was doing interactive art of television and everyone could participate with a simple telephone (no SMS!).
The Pizza Virtuale is a very simple parody of this special program.

Just like the serious original, the virtual pizza has various topics. Among them are the Virtual Piano (play piano) and the ArtHouse (paint program). Of course, every caller was a "fake".
The real Piazza Virtuale used the touch tone method to receive instructions from the caller. Programs like the Virtual Orchestra looked quite strange because there was no way for the "orchestra" to play in harmony together. There was also a chat and a painting program.
I still have about one and a half our recorded on VHS. That's how the Piazza Virtuale looked like (Copyright 3sat/VanGogh TV):

- Quote
- "Now follow us in the unknown world of the virtual reality."
- Info
- Made with the cheapest equipment possible and with a couple of Atari programs (Prism Paint).
- VanGogh TV still exists, the Piazza Virtuale was revived at least one more time.
- There are TV stations in Germany who are offering simple SMS games on television. Actually, there are enough people who pay almost a fortune to play games that are available for free on every computer systems. The Piazza Virtuale was much cheaper and was just as expensive as a normal telephone call.
