Salzburg

My first (and last) class trip where I carried a video camera with me (a Blaupunkt/Panasonic SVHS-C camera). Most of the recordings are lost; however, there is still some material left showing a castle and the exhibition inside of it.
One funny thing about Salzburg was, that the number of tourist in central Salzburg was really huge. A female representant of Greenpeace Austria was actually glad to finally find a person who was neither American nor Japanese and could speak German. Unfortunately, I had to disappoint her: She was looking for Austrians, of course. Looking out for possible new members in the middle of the central city is almost an impossible task…

My class comrades were very camera resistant. They probably foreshadowed the invention of YouTube :)

Soon after the Salzburg trip I bought a new camcorder (a MiniDV one) which I used for my trips to Cologne/Wuppertal and London. I also have video recordings of Amsterdam and Tokyo/Yokohama.
