Hamburg history

Project week in the Heinrich Hertz school: In October 1994 two subjects, history (Jochen Chmielewski) and video (Harald Weiß), worked together to create a film about the history of hamburg. Different articles and funny facts were given by the teachers and our task was to create educational and entertaining short films. There were e.g. films about the fight against the pirate Störtebeker and a news magazine with the news of 845.

The hunt for Störtebeker: showdown on his ship.

The small film teams were quite independent. Most of them choose to use the area around the school as the setting (there is also Hamburg's biggest park nearby). The beheading of Störtebeker even used cheap special effects (nobody was harmed, though).

Info
This is not a real Pinguin TV project - obviously I chose to take part (camera and "acting") in the Hamburg history project because I like filming so much.
One film team also tried to interview pupils about the history of Hamburg - they were looking very ridiculous.
One of the good things about my teacher Harald Weiß was, that he was not afraid to do some acting. He also played a role in A Teacher's Nightmare.

Störtebeker beheading was using some special effects (the axe is not real).
